A state agriculture official told a Jackson County sheriff’s deputy that some animals on a Nicholson farm were unhealthy, according to an incident report.

AN ARCADE WOMAN said her neighbor’s dog attacked her dog, causing extensive injuries. [ Full Story » ] 

An Ednaville Road, Braselton woman said four stray dogs killed her rooster and at least four of her rabbits. The rooster was valued at $10 and the rabbits at $5 each. A deputy later found the dogs. Two men told the deputy the dogs belonged to a previous resident on Ednaville Road, but the dogs were abandoned when they moved.
Jackson County Animal Control told the deputy that the dogs couldn’t be picked up until a later date because there was no space for holding the dogs. The deputy said animal control would later contact the woman. [ Full Story » ]

•Kimberly Leta Cantrell, 38, 5073 Hwy. 255, Cleveland, forgery.
•Susan Faye Morgan, 45, 5500 Bold Springs Road, Commerce, theft by shoplifting, battery and disorderly conduct.
•Ronald Dunlap, 44, 3261 Glenco Drive, Decatur, probation violation.
•John Jackson Martin, 35, 6412 Spanish Moss Lane, Carlotte, N.C., driving while license suspended and speeding.
•Amy Storey Spielman, 44, 1770 New Cut Road, Braselton, trafficking methamphetamine.
BRASELTON
•Shannon Marvin Harper, 32, 541 Carruth Road, Arcade, rape.
•Fredrick Rico Jones, 27, 2626 North N Street, Pensacola, Fla., possession of marijuana, speeding, failure to produce driver’s license and possession of cocaine.
HOSCHTON
•Timothy Frank Evans, 46, 229 Legacy Drive, Hoschton, DUI.

The Jefferson Police Department charged 15 people last week, including the following:

•Justin Blue Dale, 18, 45 Oak Lane, Jefferson, driving in violation of license permit.

•Joseph Allen Diehl, 34, 641 Hwy. 124 West, Jefferson, leaving the scene of an accident.

•Gregorn Antonio Fuller, 34, 523 Glen Myra Circle, Sun Valley, Nev., driving while unlicensed and failure to maintain lane.
