Army uniform business opens distribution center in Pendergrass

LVI, the military third-party logistics division of LION, has opened a distribution center in Pendergrass.

The Pendergrass U.S. Army Third Party Logistics Distribution Center is the primary location for U.S. Army uniforms and associated clothing items under a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support.

The 265,000-square foot facility is presently staffed by 50 employees with an anticipated expansion to 75 employees.

The objective of the Pendergrass facility is to “ensure the mission-critical readiness of America’s warfighters with the efficient and effective management and supply of clothing items to the U.S. Army,” according to company officials.

Distribution center to locate in Pendergrass

A company that first looked at Jackson County about two years ago will locate a distribution center in Pendergrass.
Courtney Bernardi, director of economic development for the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce, briefed the chamber's board of directors on an impending announcement at last Friday's meeting. [Full Story »]
