YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the above styled action seeking an order terminating the parental rights of Katrina New and Christopher Bunn was filed against you in the Jackson County Juvenile Court on June 4, 2010.
YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED AND REQUIRED to appear and answer the allegations of the Petitioner before Juvenile Court of Jackson County, Georgia, located at 5000 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Georgia 30549, on the 5th day of October, 2010 at 9:00 o’clock, a.m. This hearing is for the purpose of determining whether or not the parental rights of Katrina New and Christopher Bunn should be terminated.
The findings of fact and conclusions of law regarding the termination of your parental rights will become final at the hearing unless the parties served by publication appear at the final hearing.
A copy of the termination petition may be obtained from the Clerk of the Juvenile Court at 5000 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Georgia 30549, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. exclusive of holidays. A free copy shall be available to the parents. Upon request, the copy will be mailed to the requester. The children are in the present physical custody of Jackson County Department of Family and Children Services.
The general nature of the allegations is that the children are deprived, that the deprivation is likely to continue, and that it would be in the best interest of the children to terminate parental rights.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that while responsive pleadings are not mandatory they are permissible and you are encouraged to file with the Clerk of this court and serve upon Petitioner’s attorney, Douglas P. Haines, 387 W. Rutherford Street, Athens, GA 30606 an answer or other responsive pleading within sixty (60) days of the date of the order for service by publication.
All concerned parties are informed that they are entitled to have an attorney represent them, and if a party is entitled to counsel during the proceedings, the Court will appoint counsel, at no cost if the party is unable, without undue financial hardship to employ counsel.
