Advance voting for the May 20 election starts Monday.
Voting will be held at the Administrative Building, located at 67 Athens Street,
April 28 - May 16
(Monday through Friday)
from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be one Saturday voting day at this location only. It will be on
Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Commerce Parks and Recreation Center, located at
204 Carson Street, Commerce, will offer advance voting May 12-16
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Police and Municipal Court Building, located at
5040 Highway 53,
Braselton, will be open for early voting
from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Two members of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners will face opposition in the May 20 election. Incumbent Bruce Yates and challenger Ralph Richardson qualified for the District 3 seat on the BOC. In District 4, incumbent Dwain Smith and challenger John Ring qualified.
