The problems with underage drinking will be the focus of a program planned by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m., the department will host a program called “Choices” at the Jackson Electric Membership Corporation auditorium that will highlight the problem the county has had with underage drinkers. Two female prisoners from Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto and one male prisoner from the Jackson County Correctional Institute will talk about the choices they made that landed them in prison. It is open to the public.

So proud of what this lady is doing. It's sad she made the choice but at least she is doing what she can to tell younger youth that it's wrong! If there is any better teacher, it is experience from someone who has made the poor choice. The only thing now depends on the decisions made by the youth and how they will receive this information.

What an awesome program!!!! This was such a great idea! My husband and I went to listen to help our teen class at church. I really hope there will be another one so our whole class can go . We are so bless to have a sheriff and surrounding police departments to set out to help our kids. I think all parents and their teens should .
