Toyota announced Tuesday plans to again expand its Jefferson operations. Plans call for a $190 million expansion that will create 120 new jobs at the facility.
“We are very excited as a community that TD Automotive Compressor Georgia, LLC and Toyota Industries Compressor Parts America, Co. has chosen to grow their businesses in Jackson County,” said Jackson County Board of Commissioners chairman Tom Crow.
This is the second expansion of the plant since it located in the county in 2004. The facility currently employes over 400 people. The facility is a joint operation between Toyota Industries Corporation and Denso Corporation which manufactures air compressors for car air conditioners.
