A Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy was called out to a Highland Way, Maysville, address twice last week where a woman said her brother-in-law let his dog destroy her vehicle. The deputy looked at the vehicle and told the woman that it appeared that the wiring was cut but that there were no signs of any chew marks.
Her fender appeared to have been damaged by some type of sharp object, such as an ice pick.
The complainant said that she and her brother-in-law got into an argument the night before and that is why she believes he damaged the car.
Other allegations of the brother-in-law, according to the complainant, include him calling her fat and telling her to be scared.
The deputy advised the woman that a report would be made and he left.
After going back into service, the deputy was called back to the same residence, where the initial complainant’s husband reported more arguments between family members over the car.
