THE JEFFERSON City Schools Board of Education passed a slate of personnel changes during its two meetings last week.
At 8 a.m. April 15, the board met during a called meeting to accept the resignation of Jefferson Elementary School teacher Julie Paul. It was the only issue on the agenda.
Board member Angela McKinney made the motion and Willie Hughey seconded the motion.
Paul resigned Friday, April 12, according to meeting minutes the board approved as part of its April 18 meeting.
Paul taught second grade at the school, according to the school’s web site.
OTHER PERSONNEL ACTIONS
The Jefferson City Schools Board of Education also approved the following personnel changes on Thursday, April 18.
Resignations—Becky Gilbert, technology assistant; Susan H. Price, Jefferson High School paraprofessional; and Janice Smith, substitute bus driver.
Employee transfers—Anny Kenny, Jefferson Elementary School to Jefferson Academy counselor; Stacey Thomas from Jefferson Middle School to Jefferson JES teacher; and Walter C. Maraccini, JMS to JA teacher.
New hires—Brandy Corbett, JES/JA counselor; Allison Frazier, special education teacher shared with Jackson County; Stephanie Whiten, special education teacher shared with Jackson County; Sherry Hix, JHS teacher; Sam Moore, JHS teacher; and Madeline Sexton, JA custodian.
Family/medical leave— Jessica Ferguson, JES teacher.
Substitute teachers—Lindsay O’Conner; Lorrie Dove; Emiley Missler; and Christal Huff.
SFS Assistant—Mary Harrison.
Substitute bus drivers—Jon Loggins, and Janice Smith.
