Eighth Graders in the Jackson County School System continued this year to make progress on their state writing test results. Students at West Jackson Middle School and East Jackson Middle School both had low failure rates of nine percent, the first time the schools have gone into single-digits. Kings Bridge Middle School’s failure rate was 14 percent this year, two points better than last year and significantly better than 2011 when it had among the highest failure rates in the state. All three schools’ results were better than the state average failure rate of 18 percent.
