The Jackson County Board of Education will hold a budget meeting Thursday to discuss strategy for its upcoming FY2013-2014 finances. The BOE will meet at 6 p.m. at the BOE office in Jefferson. One part of that discussion will include plans by system leaders to consolidate some school facilities. System leaders expect to present a final “comprehensive strategy” for the budget at the April board meeting. The board has to adopt a budget in June for the new fiscal year, which begins July 1.
