Two complaints about loose livestock were filed with the Jackson County Sheriff's office last week. The first was about the failure to keep up livestock on Wilson Cemetery Road, Commerce, where a woman reported that her neighbor’s cows have been getting out of their pastures and coming into her yard for the past seven years. She said the cows defecate all over her yard, rub themselves on her house and vehicles and tear up her yard. She said she also has a small child she is afraid to let play outside due to the loose cattle.
The other complaint was aboutlivestock at large on Brooks Road, Pendergrass, relating to two horses running loose. The horses reportedly belong to a repeat offender of loose livestock.
