BRANDY Corbett has resigned as Jefferson Middle School in the middle of her third year on the job. Assistant principal Jason Wester has taken her place.
Jefferson superintendent John Jackson confirmed that Corbett stepped down to spent more time caring for her son, Kale, who has been battling leukemia and recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. The Jefferson Board of Education (BOE) accepted Corbett’s resignation and approved Wester’s promotion to principal Thursday at its monthly meeting.
Wester is in his second year with the Jefferson School System.
