Cross Country:
September 6– Jackson County competed at Oglethorpe. The girls won the four team race paced by Brittany Aikens who set a personal best of 20:55. The boys were paced by D.J. Ledford running a 19:40.
September 9– The Panthers were at East Jackson competing on Tuesday running in the six team meet. The Lady Panthers finished in second place. Coach Joseph Brubaker said he and the other coaches are proud of the efforts of the boys and girls teams and the hard work being put into improving.
Softball:
September 9– The Lady Panthers fell to Eastside 13-1.
September 11– Jackson County played Morgan County on the road, and after stretching the game to eight innings the Lady Panthers were edged out by Morgan County 1-0.
September 12-13– The Lady Panthers are competing in the Oconee County Tourney.
September 13– The slow-pitch Lady Panthers are hosting Campbell in a doubleheader.
Volleyball:
September 4– Jackson County faced quad-A Cedar Shoals and quad-A Monroe. The ladies fell to Cedar Shoals 14-25 and 6-25, followed by Monroe, 16-25 and 13-25.
September 11– The Lady Panthers faced Athens Christian and Rabun County. Despite taking each school to three games the Lady Panthers fell after very close play. Against Athens Christian the Lady Panthers lost game one 16-25, picked up a win in game two 25-20 and lost the third game 18-25. In the second match against Rabun, Jackson County won 25-15, but the Rabun rebounded to win game two 25-16, the third game shifted back and forth as both teams worked for the win. Rabun slipped by at the end to win 25-23.
