Jackson County is updating its Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan, which better prepares the community for a natural hazard event (such as a tornado or flood).
Jackson County has prepared an online survey to help identify steps to take to prevent injury to citizens and damage to property during and after such an event. County residents are asked to participate in the plan update by taking the survey and attending the first public hearing on Tuesday, July 17, at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson Clubhouse.
