Jackson County Board of Commissioners chairman candidate Tom Crow accused incumbent Hunter Bicknell of trying to get the board to backpedal from a lawsuit the county has against the Upper Oconee Basin Authority. Crow, who currently serves District 1 on the BOC, brought the issue to light during a political forum Saturday morning in Nicholson and said if Bicknell had been successful, it would have cost the county millions of dollars. Crow said Saturday that Bicknell’s move to throw in the towel on the lawsuit was one of the reasons he decided to run for the chairman’s office. But Bicknell defended the action and said the offer was a proposed compromise.

When former GOP flunky Ron Johnson stands in the parking lot screaming about Tom Crow and making a complete a of himself as he supports Hunter, I find it strange. I think all the normal people have walked away from Hunter.
A law suit that has been going on I believe 5 years and someone tried to settle and not keep paying blood sucking lawyers... Gasp ! Shock !
I won't vote for Hunter Tom but your trying too hard and look like a fool in the process.
I don't think what Tom is doing is mud-slinging. I for one am glad we have someone like Tom who is willing to stand for us and keep keen oversight of our county business and finances. With Tom I know we don't have to worry about the county impinging on our second amendment rights. With Tom I know and can trust him for sound financial judgement. Hunter has never explained himself why he chose to run for Congress and then quit. Thanks Hunter for your service as chairman but after this election you'll have plenty of time for the fairways and greens at Traditions, maybe a tryout for the Senior Open or Champions Tour?
2 + 2 = 4
you sound pretty bitter, Tom is the right man for chairman of our county commission. Sitting on the couch compaining won't do any good.
Suggest you get on Romney's website and contribute or volunteer, may do you some good.
Despite what you say, there is a choice for our next BOC Chairman and it is Tom Crow. I am thankful that Tom has not tread lightly when it has come to issues effecting hard-earned tax payer money. With Tom we can be confident that we will have strong financial management, sound & experienced judgement and good stewardship of tax payer money. Vote for Tom Crow as our next BOC Chairman. I suggest if you don't like the current candidates then throw your hat in ring or encourage and support someone that you like. Not sure if you remember, but you are free to do so. What a wonderful country we live in, eh?
Ole Crow want even respond if you write to him.
Public servant. Let me laugh.
Tom does respond to his calls and emails. Despite your bitterness and cynical opinion Tom will be our next BOC chairman. Be thankful we have people like Tom willing to step up and lead this county. He will be sure our tax dollars are spent wisely. He cares about this county and will fix the problems created by the current chairman.
He has never answered 1 of my nice inquiries.
Just a good ole boy......theme song.
