Work starts on 55,000 square foot JCCHS gym; facility to open next year

A SPACIOUS new Jackson County Comprehensive High School gym will serve as both a physical and symbolic metamorphosis for the school once built. At least, that’s the way athletic director Jason Holcombe sees it.

“It’s going to be kind of marking of a new era for Jackson County,” JCCHS athletic Jason Holcombe said.

Grading crews have already started carving out a spot for the lower portion of the two-story, 55,000 square-foot facility which is slated to open just before the 2013-2014 school year. Construction was approved by the Jackson County Board of Education back in February.

Hopefully you will never get to see it open, you got fired (non-renewed however you would like to say it) already, a 1 year reprieve is all your gonna get. Just another bobble headed waste of tax payer funds.

If the AD didn't think he knew everything and would not treat parents and teachers like he was the the savior coming to fix jc, he would be fine. This community has been coming together and working hard and this new guy comes in and acts like everyone is stupid and he has all the answers. Given his age and lack of experience, I would have thought a little humility would go long way.
