Three political races were highlighted Tuesday night at a second political forum in Jackson County. Races for Chairman of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners, State Senate and Judge of State Court were featured in the event.
STATE COURT
In the race for State Court Judge, challenger Jeff Perry highlighted his experience as a criminal lawyer and went on the attack against incumbent Judge Rob Alexander saying the court needed to be more efficient. But Alexander defended his record as judge, saying that some of Perry's comments were "false."
BOC CHAIRMAN
In the race for BOC chairman, challenger Tom Crow said incumbent Hunter Bicknell is "puzzling." Crow blasted Bicknell over how the county had been spending SPLOST money and about Bicknell's involvement over internal controversy between the chamber of commerce and industrial development authority. Bicknell defended his record as chairman, saying that Crow's reference to SPLOST spending for a new EMS station didn't include money left over from a previous SPLOST.
STATE SENATE
In the race for District 47 State Senate, which includes Jackson County, challenger Danny Yearwood spoke on his record as BOC chairman in Barrow County while incumbent Frank Ginn defended his record and said he was a "team player" in government.

Sorry but Ginn gets my vote and everyone I know. Go fish somewhere else Danny.
"Bicknell's involvement over internal controversy between the chamber of commerce and industrial development authority"
Simple one here,Bicknell is tied to the developers as is Jimmy Hix in D1...His boss is Harold Fletcher. No Thanks I'll pass
Rubic voting for Crow is the lesser of two evils... Bicknell has proven to all he has only himself in mind.
Agree on Jimmy Hix he is backed by Fletcher and Monk Tolbert... talk about bad company !
Back to the used car lot Danny !
