Cross Country:
August 30– The Jackson County runners were out at the NEGA fifth annual Cross Country Championships. The Lady Panthers took third place in the small school race led by Brittany Aikens, 20:59. Rachel Pasko finished 11 followed by Lexi Miller, Lauren Turner and Katie Maiolo. For the boys, D.J. Ledford ran 20:00 followed by Austin Moser, Fernado Alarcon and Josh Florentine.
The Panther runners will be running this weekend at Oglethorpe and then Tuesday, September 9, at East Jackson.
Cheerleading:
September 6– the Panther squad competes at Apalachee.
Softball:
September 2– The fast-pitch Lady Panthers defeated quad A Clarke Central 14-6.
September 3– Slow-pitch Lady Panthers faced Walton in a double header, resulting in a split. The ladies won one and lost one.
September 4– Jackson County was swept by Hart County 5-0, in a fast-pitch region game. The Lady Panthers make up a rained out game against Morgan County on Monday at home.
September 4– The Jackson County slow-pitch team split against Pebblebrook losing the first game but coming back in the second for the win.
September 5– The Lady Panthers slow-pitch team competed in a tournament at Harrison, going 1-2 defeating Walton but could not overcome Campbell or McEachern. The Lady Panthers' record is 3-6 for the season.
Volleyball:
September 4– The Lady Panthers are looking to break out of a slum. Despite close games the ladies have yet to secure a victory for the 2008 season, but have another shot against Athens Christian, September 11.
