Crow to run for chairman

Tom Crow announced this week that he plans to run for chairman of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners.

Crow currently serves as commissioner from District 1, which is the Jefferson area of the county. Commissioner Bruce Yates has also announced plans to run for chairman, a seat that is being vacated by Hunter Bicknell. Bicknell is running for Congress.

“As chairman, I would make our government more transparent and work with the citizens to have the kind of government that they deserve,” said Crow. “As in the past years, I would continue to support the Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Development Authority in their efforts to bring jobs to Jackson County.”

So here is a man who WILL NOT get back to the citizens for answers but needs to be ran out of office.

VOTE AGAINST HIM. He is a good ole boy and takes care of the good ole boy network.

He is not responsible in his spending and DOES NOT need to be in office.

We need a 3rd to run for this post so we can vote both out of office.

Tom Crow is the epitome of why people don't like politians. He is arrogant, self-serving, and disconnected. At least Yates takes time to meet with the people in his district and listen to their concerns.

"I would make our government more transparent" Really? As my grandfather said actions speak louder than words. The Herald has spoken out against the actions of this board-reckless spending, selfserving and disregard of the citizens of JC. It will be interesting to see if the Herald supports Good Ole Tom. Yates the other guy holds a commissiomer's post why bring home a parttime salary with the school syste. Is it any reason that voters don/t vote. What is worse is the hardworking taxpayers have to pay for these brilliant guys delusions.
