Man spotted stealing metal from Pendergrass barn
A DEPUTY went to a Pettijohn Road, Pendergrass, address last week when three men were spotted stealing metal from a barn.
The men attempted to leave the property but the deputy reportedly blocked in their vehicle. The three men ran from the scene. A canine unit was called to the scene and assisted in the search but the men were not found.
In another incident, copper wiring was stolen from underneath Little Country Church, located on Old Airport Road, Commerce. Two copper lines approximately 30 feet in length were taken from the air condition unit. The unit was also damaged with the repairs estimated at costing $2,500.

these canine units that are supposed to be used as reasonable cause to search cars fail to help in catching known fleeing persons on foot, it is time to stop this use of handlers and animals that more and more when looked to get results unless the luck just happens it seems like fifty fifty split on finding persons escaping from the K-9 units, and sure it is even worse for all the times they supposedly alert handler to drugs and nothing is found, nothing like making only positive finds the basis for use of improper methods.. AKA make the theory into a fact and use the new FACT to violate the Constitution. I guess when we wish to impose our will on others no rights are fair rights....
