ARCADE voters approved Sunday alcohol sales by a 51-28 margin Tuesday.
Those sales will be legal in Arcade pending approval of an ordinance change by the Arcade City Council.
Sixty citizens voted. Only one ballot could not be counted.
The issue placed before voters was whether or not to allow the sale of malt beverages, wine and distilled spirits on Sundays and whether or not restaurants and bars would be allowed to sell beer, wine and liquor by the drink on Sunday between 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
