Overall, students at East Jackson Comprehensive High School fared worst among Jackson County’s four high schools as 78 out of 111 tests taken by 87 students scored only a 1 or 2 over nine AP exams in 2011.

What about having the students take actual college level courses through Excel (joint enrollment) like English 101 or College Algebra. Does Jackson County allow for this? What are the statistics if they do? If the students pass the Excel courses they are totally exempt from the college classes and start out way ahead.
