Arcade voters will go to the poll on March 6 to decide whether alcohol sales will be allowed on Sundays.
The issue will be whether package sales of malt beverages, wine and distilled spirits and whether restaurants and bars will be allowed to sell beer, wine and liquor by the drink on Sundays between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
The poll at Arcade City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.
Early voting will be held Mondays through Fridays, Feb. 20, through March 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Arcade City Hall.

Is this election really necessary? I was under the impression that one could already purchase alcohol in Arcade on Sundays...

this is absolutely crazy. Just sell the stuff on Sundays already. Would you rather the people drive 10 mins down the road and get it or put the extra tax revenue in Arcade's corrupt pocket?
