A woman said a man impersonating a police officer pulled her over Sunday night in Jackson County and searched her “inappropriately.”
The woman said she was driving at B. Whitfield Road and Holiday Cemetery Road around 10 p.m. when a man driving a Crown Victoria that was dark in color with a blue and red light on top pulled her over. She said that the man was dressed as an officer and ordered her out of the car and made her walk backwards toward him. She said he made her place her hands on her head and then he kicked her feet apart.
The woman reported the incident to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and said that the man “offended her in how he searched her inappropriately.”
The woman said the man told her that he stopped her for a headlight violation, and he let her leave soon after stopping her.
The Jackson County deputy checked with the 911 center and found that there were no records of any officer making a stop in that area.
The sheriff’s office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the incident.

Something similar happened on Jefferson River Road. In that case it was an older small truck with bungee corded flashing lights on top of the vehicle. The truck waited in the dark, by a church, then sped out behind the driver and turned on the flashing lights. The authorities were contacted at the time.
