Local Republican leader Ron Johnson says that a member of the board of equalization is serving in violation of state law.
Willie Hughey is serving on the board of equalization, as well as holding an elected position to the Jefferson Board of Education. Johnson said that this violates state law.
Johnson has sent a letter to county officials requesting that this be reviewed and that “steps are taken to remove all members that are serving illegally.”
Johnson has also asked that he be considered for appointment to the board of equalization.
Oh...THERE it is.
Not REALLY bringing this up because its against the law, only bringing it up so he can push the guy out of the position he wants.
Yep, DEFINATELY the kind of guy we want in a political position in our county.
I bet he gets it, too.
A very self-serving, self-centered motivation, very revealing about how you would most likely exercise your power if you were in such a position.
Don't try to hide your own personal agenda behind the claim of trying to uphold the law, like you're just "doing the right thing". It stinks of hypocrisy.
Please resign from your post in the republican party here and move back to Gwinnett.
Yes Ron we know your past and you can't hide in Jackson and start over.
Google the law
I dare you to write an email or letter to your local commish. They will not take nor answer questions about OUR MONEY. Unless you are one of their good old boys or gals.
My classic example is the beautiful landscaping we paid for at the horse farm on Jackson Trail Road. It had to be done 4 times to get it prettier than my front yard. And the commish who approved this isn't there an outstanding question about him paying his fair share of taxes on his lake and property?
Go figure. If Congress and the cronies can get away with theft what is to stop local elected officials.
Sorry but we either need to vote them out, pray they will retire or wait until the ultimate end comes. Have never seen such corruption in my life and it is blatant. Used to it was hidden.
Hey Mr. Crowe as to my question you will not answer? Why isn't the county budget, all of it, published on the county website? This is called being transparent. The other is called pulling the wool over our eyes.
Go back to Gwinnett where kenerly and the others are kingpins of the Gwinnett M#afia.
Guess who was worse ?
