Jackson County Board of Commissioners Chairman Hunter Bicknell has reportedly decided to make a run for Congress in the new 9th District. Jackson County frames the southern edge of the district, which is centered around Hall County.
Bicknell has called a meeting to announce his intentions set for Monday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. at the Traditions Clubhouse.
Bicknell has served as Jackson County BOC chairman since 2008 and is a retired businessman.
The two candidates who have announced so far for the Congressional seat are State Rep. Doug Collins and Martha Zoller, a radio talk show host. Collins is reportedly the choice of Gov. Nathan Deal who had previously held the seat.
You should move to Vegas and try being a comedian. Bicknell is only slightly less an ass than the Fletcher man who preceded him.
Frankly we need to vote out everyone on the BOC. Not one is in it to represent the people of Jackson.
If we could sell our home we would be out of here in a skinny minute. Where in the world do these people spend the money? It is sure not down our way.
Maybe Pat Bell will decide to take up the torch again?
Vote the rascals out !
