UPDATE: At 5 p.m. Thursday, two people had reportedly been transported to a Gainesville hospital, two people transported to an Athens hospital and one person flown to Atlanta Medical Center. One death has been confirmed in the accident. A total of seven people were injured.
The Braselton Police Department, the Georgia State Patrol, the West Jackson Fire Department and the Barrow County Fire Department responded to the scene.

A multi-car wreck was reported around 4:15 Thursday afternoon on I-85 Northbound near the Braselton exit at mile marker 127. One person was reported to have died.
I-85 was shut down Northbound and has not yet re-opened. Two life-flight helicopters were called to the scene, but one was sent back after ground units decided to transport a patient by ambulance.
