SIXTEEN PEOPLE were sentenced in recent Superior Court proceedings in Jackson County, including the following:
•Gary Gordon Scales, possession of methamphetamine: $1,000 fine, 22 months confinement, four years probation and waive fourth amendment rights.
•Christy Leigh Nicholson (a/k/a Christy Gaddis and Christy Hamby), possession of methamphetamine: $1,000 fine, one year confinement, seven years probation and waive fourth amendment rights.
•Jeremy Prince, possession of methamphetamine: $500 fine, four years probation and waive fourth amendment rights.
•Juan Enriquia Zamarripa, battery: $400 fine, 11 months and 28 days probation, Family Violence Intervention Program and no violent contact with victim(s). Charges of three counts of battery – family violence act, simple battery – family violence act and five counts of third degree cruelty to children were dismissed.
•John Gordon, driving while license suspended or revoked: $500 fine and one year probation.
•Nelson Quinones, Jr., two counts simple assault and criminal trespass: $750 fine, 36 months probation, Family Violence Intervention Program, restitution and no violent contact with victim(s). Charges of terroristic threats and cruelty to children were dismissed.
•Angel J. Garcia, possession of cocaine: $1,000 fine, six years probation, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment and waive fourth amendment rights.
•Claude Bailey, theft by taking: $500 fine and 12 months probation.
•Timmy Hugh Gresham, reckless driving: $1,000 fine and 12 months probation. A charge of driving under the influence – less safe was dismissed.
•Ithyn Smith, possession of marijuana less than one ounce: $1,353 fine.
•Kenneth Richard Martin, reckless driving: $1,000 fine. Charges of driving under the influence – over legal limit, expired tag and headlight requirements were dismissed.
•Ryan Lamar Smith, no license: $703 fine and 12 months probation. A charge of operation of a vehicle with a cracked windshield was dismissed.
•Ricky Lee Willis, suspended license: $1,000 fine, ten days confinement – suspended upon payment of fine and 12 months probation. A charge of safety belt violation was dismissed.
•James Randy Stinchcomb, reckless driving: $500 fine. A charge of failure to maintain lane was dismissed.
•Daniel Alexander Barber, passing in a no-passing zone: $1,000 fine. A charge of failure to stop at the scene of an accident was dismissed.
•Mark Allen Miller, improper use of vehicle: $135 fine.
DISMISSED
The following charges were dismissed:
•Scott M. Allen, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone and possession of alprazolam.
•Joseph L. Hollis, two counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•Tiffany Marie Tillman, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and obstruction.
•Jeffery Corbin Rhodes, Sr., battery – family violence act.
•Peter Cephas Newman, failure to maintain lane, fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers, safety belt violation, obscured vision through window tint, operation of an unsafe vehicle and failure to appear.
