The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved a tentative FY2012 budget Monday night which calls for no tax hike and a decrease in General Fund spending. But the budget is being balanced by dipping into county reserves to the tune of $1.9 million and by continuing to have 12 furlough days for county employees.
The BOC will take final action on the budget and tax rate at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in a call meeting.
