Several groups will be commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in the coming days, including he following:
Northridge Medical Center to hold 9/11 program Friday
Northridge Medical Center employees will gather on the front lawn of the hospital at 9 a.m. on Friday to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The public is invited and special invitations have been sent to local public safety officials.
Annual ceremony set in Jefferson Sunday
The Rotary Club of Jefferson will sponsor the annual Jefferson City 9/11 ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m., outside the entrance of the Jefferson Civic Center.
Galilee to hold remembrance service
Galilee Christian Church, Jefferson, will hold a service of remembrance on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 10:30 a.m. The service will be a tribute recognizing and thanking all law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMTs attending the event — both active and retired.
9/11 memorial bike ride set Sunday
Hoschton United Methodist Church will host a 9/11 memorial biker Sunday service on Sept. 11, starting with the service at 11 a.m. Kickstands will go up after the service at 12:15 p.m.
A motorcycle ride to Gods Church in the Hills in Northeast Georgia will follow the service. A free lunch will be hosted by Pastor John Lance’s church. A 65-mile ride through Blood Mountain will follow for those interested to join.
