Consultant to search for county manager candidates

Jackson County took action Monday night to use a private company to lead the effort to find a county manager.

The Chason Group Inc. will provide executive search services to the county to fill the vacant county manager position. There will be no charge to the county for this service.

Among the duties the company will provide include the following:

•assist in the development of a position description.
•serve as the key contact for candidates through the search process.
•prepare and distribute community information packets to candidates.
•recommend the top three to five candidates based on interviews, resume information and application.
•conduct background checks on final candidates.
•set up all interviews and meetings.
