Nicholson ethics complaint to be heard by ethics board

An ethics complaint filed against a Nicholson City Council member will be heard by the town’s ethics board at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the community center.

Former Nicholson council member Faye Seagraves filed the ethics complaint against councilman Lamar Watkins in a letter to the ethics board dated January 8, 2011.

Seagraves alleges that during her time in office, 2006-2009, the mayor and council received travel expenses for taking their personal vehicles to the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) Convention in Savannah.

Seagraves said Watkins signed that he was driving and he took travel expenses even though he actually rode with council member Howard Wilbanks to the convention.

Seagraves lists the amount of money that she believes Watkins owes the city as $210.

Wait a minute this is about travel expenses? I thought one of the council members called another a bad name or something like that? And I'm sure Watkins had to pay Wilbanks something to ride with him? AND Watkins had a notel bill and food he had to pay for? I wonder how much money Seagraves has milked the city for during her time in office? AND did Watkins take Seagraves seat on the council? If so this sounds to me like she is just trying to get even?

LOL, you are SO right! Why Ronnie allowed this to even go on is beyond me, there were no regulations, AND get this--all of the ethics committee is connected to Ronnie in some way. Renter? Need I say more? Seagraves was just upset because she wasn't voted back this last time. She has made herself look vengeful.

You're killing me with laughter! You think he "let it go on'? HAHAHAHAHA!

Why don't you ask who is REALLY behind this entire thing? Who REALLY started it? (It WASN'T Faye that started it, she's just a dupe being used by someone else to do the dirty work!!!)

You people kill me! If you had a clue about the dirty little underside of Nicholson politics, you'd be sick to your stomach.
