The Arcade Planning Commission canceled a public hearing set for Tuesday night.
The commission didn’t have a quorum of its members attend the hearing set on a rezoning request and two variance applications for General Property Group, LLC. John Swaim, commission chairman, and John Motley, commission member were the only two members present along with Guy Herring, planning consultant with McFarland Dyer & Associates, Suwanne, and Deborah Mockus, city administrator.
The planning commission will hold a special called meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at Arcade City Hall, for the first public hearing on this request.

O.h.my God say it ain't so? What kind of Commission are they running here? they say the public should come out to these meetings SO we will know what's going on? THEIR OWN PEOPLE WON'T EVEN SHOW UP. How are we supposed to take you serious when you can't even get your own members to show up?
