A JEFFERSON man was arrested for creating a hazardous condition (public drunk) after being found on a railroad track in Arcade.
Charles William Doyal, 41, 204 White Oak Trail, Jefferson, was arrested by the Arcade Police Department.
He was spotted by someone passing by who called 911.

RR,
creating a hazardous condition does a couple of things believe it or not before you pass judgement. Since it is a local ordinance it is a non finger printable offense meaning that instead of him getting a criminal record for attempting to walk home he is simply taken to the jail to sleep it off so to speak and given a simple fine thus actually believe it or not doing him a favor. If he was charged as public drunk then he would have developed a criminal record for simply attempting to walk home rather than drive, and still have to pay a fine.
Why is it that people are so quick to jump on law enforcement in general when the majority of them are out there just to keep law abiding citizens like myself safe and believe it or not have the well-being of the community in mind? I don't understand you people sometimes.
Hmmmmm......let's see, what do we suppose would happen if a train should come along those tracks while said inebriated person is still lying on the tracks?
I'm thinking that couldn't possibly be good.
