Downed trees seemed to be the biggest problem in Jackson County following last night’s storms.
Jackson County officials reported 28 calls involving downed trees and powerlines, including a tree on a home on Double Bridges Road and a limb on a car on Antioch Church Road.
Jackson Electric Membership Corporation reported a number of outages Tuesday morning following Monday night’s strong storms.
At the height of the storms, JEMC said they had 15,000 customers out of power. As of 9:30 a.m. some 525 customers of JEMC were without power in Jackson County.
