A 16-YEAR-OLD — who was on probation and wearing an ankle monitor — was drinking beer in a neighbor’s backyard, the teenager’s mother told a Braselton officer.
The mother said when she arrived at her Hancock Avenue residence, her daughter was missing. The daughter is on probation out of Winder and isn’t supposed to leave the house.
The mother then heard loud music coming from a neighbor’s backyard, where the mother looked through a fence and saw her daughter holding a beer can, according to an incident report.
The mother yelled at her daughter to put the beer can down, which the teenager quickly gave to a young man living at the residence. Once at home, the daughter started yelling at her mother and left the residence.
The mother gave a Braselton officer the contact information of her daughter’s probation officer. The Braselton officer said he would try to contact a woman at the neighbor’s house about the situation.
