Janis Mangum, a long-time employee of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, has announced her intentions to run for sheriff.
Mangum is a life-long resident of Jackson County and has been employed by the sheriff’s office for 22 years. She and her husband, Jerry, live in the Holly Springs community.
“While at the sheriff’s office, I’ve done a little bit of it all, radio dispatcher, patrol officer, jail commander, chief investigator, and I am currently working investigations concerning sex offenders and crimes against children, the most vulnerable in our society. When asked by the sheriff to work in each division in the sheriff’s office, I have given best efforts.”
