Members of the North Jackson Fire Department responded Friday night to a truck fire on Hwy. 129 north of Pendergrass where a load of diesel fuel was threatened. The fire at the front of the truck was knocked down by firemen before it spread to the tanker and no fuel leaked, said officials.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Traffic was re-routed by Pendergrass police until the road could be reopened.
