A SLOW-DRIVING motorist turning into a restaurant entrance sparked a road rage incident in Braselton, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
A North Carolina woman said she was traveling on Hwy. 53 looking for the entrance of Cracker Barrel when she slowed down and the driver of the vehicle behind her began blowing its horn, according to an incident report.
The other vehicle later made a U-turn in the roadway and followed the woman to the parking lot of Cracker Barrel, located on Exchange Way.
The woman and the other driver got out of their vehicles and the man said, “What are you doing? You almost got us killed.” The man was also cursing.
The woman said she was going to call 911, to which the man said, “All the cops are friends of mine,” according to an incident report. He then told a 12-13-year-old child in his vehicle to get his gun.
The man sat in the truck holding a gun and asked the woman if she was trying to steal from him. The truck then drove around the parking lot, but its driver said he’d be waiting for the woman and her passenger in the back.
The woman and her boyfriend went inside Cracker Barrel, where they called 911. Several deputies searched for the truck, but couldn’t find it.
What's really sad is the guy did this in front of his 12-13 yr old child. Lack of parenting is exactly why we have such a crime problem these days. Such a shame.
