AN INCIDENT of road rage left a Gillsville woman with hand and wrist injuries after another driver confronted her and then knocked her down and ran over her hand.
The woman said she was driving on Diamond Hill Church Road when a motorist behind her began to follow her too closely and then bumped the back of her vehicle. The woman said she stopped her car and went back to talk to the other driver. The victim said the woman yelled at her and asked her why she was driving so slow. She told the deputy that she told the woman that the speed limit is 25.
The victim said the woman then drove forward, striking her vehicle in the rear and then striking her and knocking her to the ground and running over her hand and wrist. The woman said the driver left her lying in the road. She was able to get back in her car and call 911.
This doesn't suprise me. I live on Diamond Hill Church Rd, people fly on this Rd. The only place there is a speed limit sign is on the Slater Rd. Side. Diamond HIll Church Doesn't have speed limit signs on either side. People fly.. we have called the cops, they will not patrol this area...and everytime I talk to the chief he says someone has been in the area patrolling, but funny to me, I never see a patrol car. We have lived here for 2 1/2 years, I've seen cops maybe 4 times. People come off of Diamond HIll Church Rd onto Slater rd doing atleast 60, they blow right thru the speed limit signs and the children at play signs...they don't care, they don't even stop for the Stop sign coming off of Unity CHurch circle.

I Agree, I also live on Diamond Hill Church; I have lived here all my life. It getting very dangerous to drive down the lower end of the road where there are no houses because people really fly there.I too have called the cops and never saw any results. I remember days when children could walk and ride their bikes in this beautiful area, but now it just too dangerous because of the careless drivers.
