An Elrod Avenue man said his cell phone fell from his pocket and was damaged after a dog chased him while he was riding his bike.
According to the incident report filed at the Jefferson Police Department, the man said a small dog began to chase him and tried to bite him which caused him to fall off of the bike. He said the cell phone fell from his pocket and is now not working correctly.
Other incidents reported to the police department last week include the following:
•verbal dispute between a married couple at a Plantation Drive residence.
•verbal disturbance at a Pine Street Apartments address.
•a man made a report a the police department about a dispute he had with his boss when he quit his job.
•an officer stopped a juvenile who was walking in the road. The officer questioned the juvenile about a plastic bag he could see in his pocket. The boy gave it to the officer who identified it as marijuana.
•fire at a Skyline Drive residence that was caused by beans left on the stove.
•harassing phone calls at a Railroad Street residence.
•passenger side window broken in a truck parked at a Memorial Drive location.
•a woman reported that she invited a friend to her home and the woman stole her car, wallet with cash in it and prescription medication. The woman was found at an area restaurant and arrested.
•verbal dispute between a married couple at an Oak Lane residence.
•two men at an Academy Woods Drive residence got into a verbal dispute over the Georgia football game.
•vehicle damaged at a MLK Jr. Drive location.
•a Jefferson Walk Circle woman said her husband, who she has a temporary protective order against, entered her home without permission and removed some of her personal items.
•prescription medication taken from a Pine Street residence.
•a Lakeshore Drive woman said she was walking her dog and found a wallet in the flower bed.
•a man said he left his wallet at the check out window of an area restaurant. When he called to check on it, the employees reported that the wallet had not been found.
•a canine unit called to Jefferson High School to check vehicles in the parking lot identified a vehicle as possibly having drugs in it. The student driving the vehicle was called outside and a search of the truck uncovered a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
•a vehicle was stopped for following too closely and suspected marijuana and $35,000 in cash was found in the car.
•a woman reported an argument she had with her daughter after she found an inappropriate video on the girl’s cell phone.
•a Gordon Street man said someone struck his windshield with an ax.
•dispute between two men at the county high school football field.
•a woman said her wallet was stolen when she was shopping at an area grocery store.
•vehicle damage at the Pendergrass Flea Market.
