A 10-year-old child was airlifted to the Grady Medical Center burn unit in Atlanta Thursday after being burnt by some type of flammable liquid.
Plainview Fire/Rescue and Jackson County EMS were called to 415 Ridgewood Drive, Pendergrass, on a reported child burnt. They found a 10-year-old child with burns to approximately 30 percent of his body.
The victim was stabilized on the scene and transported by air helicopter to Atlanta.
The incident is under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Plainview Fire Department.
