Braselton teen charged with rape
A teenager is facing charges for allegedly raping another teenager in his Braselton subdivision, according to police.
A 15-year-old male teenager was charged with child molestation, enticing a child and rape for the alleged rape of a female neighbor on Monday, July 12, police said. The incident took place at the suspect’s house.
Braselton police were initially sent by Jackson County 911 dispatchers to Barrow Regional Medical Center, Winder, for a rape report.
The incident was turned over to the Braselton Police Department’s criminal investigations unit, which issued warrants for the male teen’s arrest. The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office is handling the case.
The male teenager was charged as an adult for the rape, according to Braselton police.
