Incidents reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s office last week include theft and property damages. The incidents are as follows:
•a Winder Hwy., Jefferson, woman said a man purchased $1,628 worth of pine straw from her and has not paid for it.
•a Pleasant Acres Drive, Maysville, woman said she left her vehicle with a man she knows and he sold it without her permission.
•a Harmony Grove Church Road, Gillsville, woman said someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked in her yard. The windshield was cracked.
•a Rock Forge Lane, Jefferson, woman said her boyfriend made a rude comment about her cooking and she threw it in his face and went to a neighbor’s house. When she returned, he had locked the door and would not let her in. The deputy told her to find somewhere else to go for the night.
•leaf blower stolen from the backseat of a vehicle at a Hwy. 15, Jefferson, location.
•a Holiday Cemetery Road man said when a renter moved out of a mobile home that he owns they damaged the power pole and stole three air condition units.
•a Windy Hill Road woman said someone took the lugs off of the right tire of her vehicle.
•a Holiday Cemetery Road, Jefferson, woman said she and her husband got into an argument after she confronted him about not coming home one night. She said he became irate and grabbed a broom and broke a light. She said he then ran from the home.
•domestic dispute at a Holly Springs Road, Maysville, where a woman slashed the tires of a woman’s car.
•threatening phone calls at a Red Oak Road, Maysville, residence.
•weights and a bench press taken from the yard of a Groaning Rock Road, Commerce, residence.
•a MLK Jr. Drive woman said that she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he pushed her to the ground.
