Two young children reported missing from an Arcade home were found quickly.
A 9-year-old and 4-year-old were reported as being missing for 30 minutes on Wednesday, April 28, from a Trotters Ridge, Arcade, residence. The two were found almost one hour later in a yard two and a half miles from their home.
Units from the Arcade Police Department, Jefferson Police Department, Jackson County EMA, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol were called to the Arcade home after it was reported that the two young girls were missing. A search was conducted of the immediate area.
A call came in almost one hour after the search began from a woman who said two young girls were in her yard, 2.5 miles away from the area of the lost victims.
The two girls were returned home safely. The two were checked out by EMS and were in good condition.
