Georgia Asphalt Series Finale Rescheduled For Oct. 4

Georgia Asphalt Series officials have announced the rescheduling of the series finale in October.

The final GAS series event for 2008 was originally scheduled to be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, but has now been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, at Peach State Speedway.

Peach State is the home track for the series.


“There are many factors involved with this decision,” said GAS Series director Vince Whitmire in a statement sent out on July 20.

The next GAS Series event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 2 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele. The series will then travel to New Senoia Raceway in Senoia on Saturday, August 16 before returning to Peach State on Saturday, August 30.

The series will then travel back to Senoia for a Sept. 20 race before returning to Jefferson for the series finale.

Peach State will wrap up it's season November 7-9 with the World Crown weekend.
