Fatality reported in wreck
A man was found dead at the scene of a wreck on Sunday at Mountain Creek Drive in Talmo.
Units from the North Jackson Fire/Rescue, Jefferson Rescue and Jackson County EMS responded to a reported auto accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, they found a one-vehicle accident which had overturned, with a male patient trapped under the vehicle. The patient was extricated and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
In another wreck, on April 24, units from Harrisburg Fire/Rescue, Jefferson Rescue and Jackson County EMS responded to 217 Airport Road, Jefferson, on a reported auto accident with injuries. Upon arrival, they found a one-vehicle accident with a male patient entrapped in the vehicle.
The patient was extricated and transported by EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. The patient was listed in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.
