A Jefferson chiropractor was arrested Thursday morning on charges of child molestation and sexual battery against a 15-year-old patient.
Dr. Luis Berbessi, whose office is located on Washington Street in Jefferson, turned himself into authorities Thursday morning.
Jefferson police chief Joe Wirthman said the department had been investigating the allegations for the past week.
I have met "Doctor B" and still drive to Buford for my Chiropractor...but that it just my humble opinion.
Wait and see. Wait and see. It will all come out eventually.
This young lady is brave to have come forward about what happened to her. I assure you that a warrant would not have been issued if probable cause did not exist.
No wonder women and children do not disclose sexual assaults and abuse. They become ridiculed and re-victimized as you all are doing in this case. I hope none of you will ever have to experience this trauma. It no only effects the victim, but the entire family.
If you don't have all the facts and circumstances about this or any other matter, don't be so quick to pass judgement or leave comments as you have.
I am proud of this young lady for coming forth, It did take and still does take courage. As far as this being true only her and him really know what happened. But if it did, I ONLY PRAY SHE WILL GET COUNSELING FOR IT.
behind some of these ugly statements, which if I am correct in my suspicions, shows the professionalism and quality of people this man surrounds himself with. One last thought, the article detailing the account was borderline offensive to me as well. The writer continues to assert other Chiropractor's feelings concerning the possibility of "misunderstandings" during treatment. I believe a fifteen year old girl as well as the police investigating the matter can tell the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touching.
