Wilma J. Cannon, 72, died Monday, February 8, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House following an extended illness.
Born on August 13, 1937, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of Hilda Carr of Thomasville and the late Lewis Lamar Carr. She was owner of Alterations Plus in Carrollton for more than 30 years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Carrollton. Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. James A. Cannon; and a son, James A. Cannon Jr.
Survivors in addition to her mother include a son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Penny Cannon, Sandy Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Cecelia and Stephen Pruitt, Hoschton; grandchildren, Samuel and Abigail Pruitt and Brad Cannon; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 11, at 11 a.m. at Harvest America and Beyond Ministries Church in Bainbridge. The family will receive friends after the service.
