BALDWIN – Roy Lewallen, 52, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born on January 11, 1958, in Commerce, he was the son of the late Ralph Kenley and Liza Mae Payne Lewallen. He was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church. Mr. Lewallen was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Lewallen, Milton Lewallen and Edward Lewallen.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Barrett Lewallen, Baldwin; daughter, Haley Lewallen, Baldwin; sisters, Carol Wood, Commerce, Lenora Simmons, Delois Poole, Diane Poole, all of Baldwin, Nancy Simmons and Kathy Sheridan, both of Alto; and brothers, Tommy Lewallen, Maysville, Terry Lewallen, Cornelia, Ralph Lewallen Jr. and Mark Lewallen, both of Baldwin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 6, in the chapel of Whitfield Funeral Home with the Revs. James Harvey and Luther Williams officiating. Burial was in the B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery.
